Year 3 – Egyptians
Year 3 have had a wonderful week getting to know how things in Year 3 work.
We have been learning about Egyptians and how important the Nile River was to their life. In science we have been studying materials and learning about
how materials are used in the world around us. Everyone has been learning lots and doing their best at everything.
Year 2 – Healthy eating
Year 2 have had a very busy first full week back and are adapting well to the Primary routines.
They have enjoyed learning about healthy eating and have painted some fantastic pictures of their summer holidays.
Year 6 – Goodnight Mr. Tom
Year 6 has settled in very nicely. It’s a small group with no new members so everyone knows everyone else.
We are studying interesting subjects like how life has changed since 1940 so we are asking people about how life was in times past.We also watched a
video of “Goodnight Mr. Tom”, which we really enjoyed.
Some other things like “Forces” are rather harder, but we all like Art and have been learning about shading.
Year 4 – Blog, 17th September 2010
We have had a wonderful start to the school year.
All students came back enthusiastic and eager to share many summer stories.
During the past 2 weeks we have been discussing the topic of healthy living, and investigating the skeletons of both humans and animals.
Did you know there are about 206 bones in our bodies? We were able to see these bones in real-life x-rays, and just like putting together a jigsaw, we successfully put together a human skeleton!
Soon we will be able to tell you how to keep yourselves….
Terra i sistema solar
Bona feina Year 8!

Questions of good and evil
“Questions of good and evil, right and wrong are commonly thought unanswerable by science. But Sam Harris argues that science can — and should — be an authority on moral issues, shaping human values and setting out what constitutes a good life.”
Early earth and plate tectonics
It is a video clip about early earth and plate tectonics, and it needs no introduction, just a look!
