Year 3 Shadow Science

Autor Year 3 have just started their final Science unit on Light and Shadow. We are studying how light travels in straight lines from the light source. We went to the patio in the morning to draw around our shadows and then went back in the afternoon to see how the shadows had moved. We now need to learn why this happens…….

Take a Seat by Year 3
In the final part of last term Year 3 had to design a seat as part of their homework. Many of the children made wonderful chairs and were very proud of their creations. The children have learnt how to sketch a 3D chair and after many practices have the have painted their chair in the style of Van Gogh. Make sure you check out our display in the corridor outside Year 3.
