Popcorn Flowers
Today in Fun With Food combined the art of painting with our love of popcorn to make popcorn flowers and/or trees. First we painted our pictures, then we cooked the popcorn. Some of us were a little nervous the bags were going to explode when we listened to the loud popping and watched the bags get bigger and bigger. We made pink and yellow popcorn. After eating some of the popcorn we also glued some on our paintings for the tree blossoms or flowers. This added another dimension to our pictures which ended up looking beautiful. Did you know that popcorn is the world´s number one snack food? We definitely enjoyed eating it! Miss Bullemor.
Year 4 Forces
Year 4 have been having lots of fun measuring with Newton Meters. They measured different things in the classroom and are understanding weight is a measurement of force.
Year 6 Working Hard and Improving
We have a new timetable which is actually much better as we now have a double Science so we can do a full length exam. We’ve been working hard and doing lots of past papers to practise and see what we still need to go over. It has been hard work but it has shown how much the children have learnt. Keep up the good work!
We are starting to look at rivers and water usage. It’s an interesting topic which will take us around the world.
Year 2 Corporal Expression – Dancing Activities
This 3rd term lessons we are working on Corporal Expression activities. Today they were trying basic steps from very different types of dance: classical and modern dances. For classical, we watched a video doing “pirouettes” and students were doing pretty well. For modern dance, we watched a feet dance (Shuffle) were students tried the “Running Man step” and a hand dance (Tecktonik) were students could dance with their arms and hands. Great time!
