Year 2 Corporal Expression – Dancing Activities

This 3rd term lessons we are working on Corporal Expression activities. Today they were trying basic steps from very different types of dance: classical and modern dances. For classical, we watched a video doing “pirouettes” and students were doing pretty well. For modern dance, we watched a feet dance (Shuffle) were students tried the “Running Man step” and a hand dance (Tecktonik) were students could dance with their arms and hands. Great time!

ECU2 have exploring growing the last few weeks last week we started to grow cress seeds in the classroom. They grow very quickly and the children can watch the progress to see how a seed grows to a plant. They also have been learning what we need to do to make the seeds grow and how to look after them to keep them alive. Allison McGillivray

The quote is by Shakespeare and reads “All the world’s a stage and all the men and women are merely players”.

Thank you Guillem for your wonderful creativity and effort!

Bottle Cap Collection

The bottle cap collection is still going strong in year 8. This is the fourth big collection this year and I’m sure there will be at least another bag full of caps before the end of the year. Thank you so much to everyone for their help and well done to year 8 for all their work.

Year 1 Fruit and Vegetables

Year 1 have been looking at all sorts of fruit and vegetables this term.

We decided it would be fun to draw as many fruit and vegetables that we know which are red, yellow, blue and orange.

The children then grouped these together and we made some bright and colourful posters for our classroom.

Year 1 Science

Year 1 are learning about plants this term in Science.

We have been growing some lettuce seeds.

The children have been observing their growth and talking about the changes they see!

We are very excited to see what happens over the next 3 weeks.

La routine de Y8

Year 8 have worked on daily routine. Now they can describe their routine using reflexive verbs and the time. They produced a “guirlande” that we hanged in the classroom.
