League of Pre-University debates at ESADE
On April 16th, selected Y12 students took part in pre-University debate contest at ESADE which is traditionally organized twice a year. Even though during 4 hours of heated debates our students have not managed to arrive to the finals they have efficiently improved their knowledge on the rules of debating, gained more experience in debates and also met some students of their age from other schools from Barcelona. As we can all
agree: ” the important it is not to win , it is to participate”. These kinds of experiences are highly appreciated by Universities at the time of choosing between applicants, therefore the Certificate awarded to each student has an exceptional value for their future studies.
May & June Weekend Activities – Open to all.

Drama & Theatre Weekend. Open to all.
Join us for a FUN and exciting weekend of Drama and Theatre. It´s a residential weekend developing the acting skills of young people. We end with a performance to parents in the Theatre of Escaan.

Year 1 Trip to Montjuic
Year 1 and ECU 3 went on a school trip to Montjuic. The children walked around the botanical gardens looking at all the different flowers from all around the world.
The children then took part in a Butterfly workshop, where they learnt all about the different features of a Butterfly.
It was such a warm beautiful day and we even got to eat our lunch together in the sun.
We had lots of fun!!
ECU3 and Year 1 excursion to the Botanical Gardens in Barcelona
Last Friday 8th March 2013, ECU3 and Year 1 enjoyed a lovely day in Barcelona we were very lucky with the weather, and enjoyed looking at the flowers and the gardens. We also attended a workshop about Butterflies where there were lots of hands on activities. We would like to say a very big thank you to Jan’s mummy and Ona’s mummy for coming with us you were a great help!!
Year 4,5 & 6 Maritime Museum Trip
Children were able to explore Spain’s history in world exploration by boat.
Children visited an actual boat used by the Spanish as well as hold and analyse actual nautical instruments used on voyages!
Paintball Trip – March 2013
Details about the exciting day trip to one of Spain´s largest Paintball Centres can be found by clicking here. On Sunday 10th March we will go to Barcelona Paintball and enjoy 4 hours of fun and games. There is adult paintball for those above 14 and mini paintball (with different guns) for those aged 8-13. The activity is open to all members of the community and places must be booked by February 28th.

Christmas at PortAventura
In one month we will set off for our Christmas adventure and fun at PortAventura. Three days in the park enjoying the rides and entertainment in the park. Then in the evening we will have fun with the PortAventura Christmas shows and our own games. A magical Christmas experience. Deposits are required by Friday 9th November – don’t miss out.
