Year 4 Week 5 & 6
Previously in Year 4… Children have typed and edited with a computer their articles by changing the font, including pictures and word art and using paragraphs. Below you can see some year 4 ICT work.
This week children have been having fun preparing for carnival. Making basketball shakers, and lovely pink tutus (even the boys enjoyed elegant creatures)!
Julie Sheehy (Music teacher) has helped year 4 write a song! I have to say I was very impressed and encourage everyone to watch the video for it. Well done year 4! Thank you Julie!!
The Bloody Battle of Bosworth
The war of the roses
Henry Tudor fought in the war of the roses as the red rose against Richard III, the white rose. The battle of Bosworth was the final battle.
The whole war lasted 32 years. In the battle of Bosworth people could hear cries of pain and clanging of swords. It was a terrifying sight!
Soldiers could see their friends dying. Richard III shouted
his last words which were “Treason! Treason!”. Nobody knows how he died only that it happened during the final battle .
Richard III was dead so Henry Tudor took the throne
as the first Tudor King. King Henry VII married Elizabeth of York. Together they formed the Tudor Rose. Few years later Henry VIII was born. He was named after his father.
This was the beginning of the Tudor times.
The Bloody Batle of Bosworth
The war of the roses was between Richard III and Henry Tudor. Richard’s house was house of York, and Henry was the house of Lancaster.
The war of the roses finished at 1489 with final battle of Bosworth.
Edward the III died and his son, Richard became king. Henry thought that Richard wasn’t a good king so he went to fight Richard.
Henry the VII won at the battle of Bosworth. Richard´s last words were “TREASON,TREASON,TRASON!!!!!!”

Year 3 Research in the Library
Year 3 have been learning all about information texts and how to read them. We have learnt how to use both a glossary and an index and also about diagrams or pictures and illustrations. We have started researching on a topic of our choice using the non-fiction section of the library. We have each chosen our own topic and made notes from books that we found. The final product will be a mini non-fiction book which the children will produce. Well done Year 3 for your hard work.

Good Causes
Last Sunday 6th November myself and Kathy from ECU2 took part in the annual Carrera De La Mujer ( Breast Cancer Run) in Barcelona, we couldn’t run because the weather was so bad it rained the whole way round as you can see but we walked 6km at a good pace and finished in 1 hour and 8 minutes and all for a good cause.
