TY Assembly
It was the turn of TY for Assembly on the 22nd of February, Brando ECU2 and Bruno and Santiago ECU3 received Achievement certificates for the hard work.
Numeracy in TY
Year one have been learning all about odd and even numbers.
We have been doing a variety of activities to help them remember which
numbers are odd, which numbers are even and why they are.
By learning odd and even number it will help us learn to skip count and
recall doubles quicker.

Family Friday
We had such a lovely time making badges with Sandra Rodriguez, Isabelle from ECU3’s mum. The children made some beautiful badge designs with the help of their parents. We think that the parents enjoyed making badges also. A huge thanks to Sandra for supplying the badge machine and all the materials to make the badges. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to ask Sandra back for another activity that she organises in company.
Thanks again Sandra it was wonderful!

Family Day- Teddy Bears Picnic
If you go into ECU today you’re in for a big surprise
If you go down in the ECU today you’d better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was will gather there for certain
Because today’s the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic.
And what a picnic!
We had a ball!
A big thank you to all the children, parents for such a lovely afternoon of fun and games.

TY and ECU3 trip to Clos la Plana
ECU3 and TY had a wonderful trip to Clos la Plana. We all enjoyed looking around the grounds of the building, learning about the different fruit trees, and exploring the area. Take a look at our pictures – we even got to sit on the tractor while it´s engine was on!

Blog entry for TY
TY really enjoyed World Maths Day and learnt lots of new things – tessellation and symmetry to name a couple. The children particularly enjoyed creating posters for them to use in class to help them to think of different ways of saying addition, subtraction and equals. These should help them when they’re being tested by me in future!!

TY enjoyed using plasticine
The children had a great start to the New Year and really enjoyed using plasticine to create their own sculpture as part of their new Art topic. They’re looking forward to doing this more often!
